Yves LOUIS is a collaborator of the « Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas, Belgian EUROfusion Consortium Member » (LPP) in the field of nuclear fusion plasmas, specialised in ion cyclotron resonance heating of tokamaks and stellarators.
Students of the “Master en ingénieur civil physicien” have the opportunity to realise their Master thesis in physics engineering (MEMO-H506) in co-supervision between the LPP and the ULB.
Here is an example of a paper published on the bases of one Master thesis : http://hdl.handle.net/2013/ULB-DIPOT:oai:dipot.ulb.ac.be:2013/371364
After the fulfilment of their Master in physics engineering at the ULB, students interested in a PhD in Engineering Science have the opportunity to realise it in co-supervision between the LPP and the ULB.
Here is an example of a PhD thesis realised in co-supervision: http://hdl.handle.net/2013/ULB-DIPOT:oai:dipot.ulb.ac.be:2013/350791

PHYS-H300 : Physique des semi-conducteurs et de l’état solide
PHYS-H411 : Statistical physics and plasma physics
STAG-H501 : Internship (60 days)
During the summer holydays between MA1 and MA2, we offer the possibility of an internship at ITER to the students interested by research in controlled nuclear fusion. The subjects of researches related to the internships are proposed by the ITER team and the selection of the candidates is realised by them. A successful student may accomplish his internship under the Academic supervision of Prof. Yves LOUIS. More informations here : Internships
