Research activities
Aymeric's research thesis is focused on the quantum properties of optical frequency combs, particularly those arising from the topological solitons that can arise in optical parametric oscillators. Such optical objects have potential applications in quantum communication, quantum computing and quantum-enhanced metrology. Understanding how to generate these quantum frequency combs in a controlled manner is therefore a first important step in order to bring those technologies to reality.

Bibliography
Aymeric Dejolier received a master degree at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in 2026, he was awarded the Frerichs price as well as the François Englert price of excellence as a recognition for his academic achievements. He realized his master thesis at OPERA-Photonics, on the applications of fiber cavity solitons to LiDAR. In October of the same year, Aymeric joined OPERA-Photonics as a PhD student, under the direction of François Leo and Stéphane Clemmen.
